Raindrop Technique, VitaFlex, Young Living Essential Oils
Working from home while my children were at home was a blessing. At age 39 I went to college and graduated in 4 years with a BSN in Park and Recreation, emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, and Corporate and Community Fitness. My mentor in college taught me to always be a “kid at heart” and to incorporate play, while learning new skills and hobbies. After college, I spent twenty years working in a group home for people with disabilities. This heightened my awareness of the beauty of folks who needed support. In 2014 I found myself “working from home” once again helping people to feel good spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I do not believe I will “retire” and will always “work from home”.
Raindrop Technique was developed by D. Gary Young in the 1980’s based on his research with essential oils and prompted by some fascinating information he learned from an elder among the Lakota Native in South Dakota. Mentally they would inhale this energy into their spine and through nerve pathways in their body. The process stimulated an incredible healing effect for many of his ancestors. Effleurage (feathered finger stroking) became associated with this tradition after the borders were closed and the Lakota could no longer migrate. it was with this process that prompted the process to give birth to the development of Raindrop Technique. Similarly, Vita Flex is a specialized form of hand and foot massage that is exceptionally effective in delivering the benefits of essential oils throughout the body. it is based on a complete network of reflex points that stimulate all internal body systems. Essential oils are applied to contact points and energy is released through electrical impulses created by contact between the fingertips and reflex points.
